I have a question.
Quite a few actually,
You may believe I\'m strange
For this, and yet
Here I am.
I wonder;
Do I suit a fruit-bowl hat
Or short brown hair?
Did you mean it when you said
I didn\'t look like that?
Disclose this;
Are the plastic parrots
That you so softly place in my hair,
Worth to you as much
As they are to me?
Tell me;
When your hands
Gently grip my waist,
Or my hand,
To pull me up onto wet rocks,
Do butterflies take flight in your stomach too?
Answer this;
When my arms wrap themselves
Around your neck,
And my legs cling on
Tight to you,
When you carry me on your back
And run,
Past lamp
After lamp,
Do you feel as elated as I do?
I need to know;
Do I cross your mind
A few thousand times a day
Like you dance across mine?
Do even think of me
At all?
