I have so many notebooks of writes,
so many personal and dark
So much has changed in this past
year, like someone set off a spark
Although I have shared some sadness
and hurt with you all
I no longer feel that heavy burden
nor feel like I\'m facing a brick wall
I was encouraged by someone to write
as often as I could--that eased my pain
Now I smile and laugh a lot more
and I can easily see my gains
I\'ll look back to my dark poetry
to help me reflect and grow
Who knows? Someday I might go back there
But right now I\'m happier than you know
