BLACK FRIDAY

BLACK FRIDAY

(c) 2015 Edward York

The Thanksgiving feast is over,

We haven\'t even digested the meals,

Before Bombarded with commercials,

And loads of black Friday deals.

There is still turkey in the fridge,

And a pumpkin pie or two,

While shoppers skim the paper,

To plan out what to do.

The football games are over,

And we all know the scores,

We have shifted focus to shopping

As we wait for open doors.

It is going to take determination,

And a little bit of luck,

To navigate through the merchants,

As they battle for your buck.

The crowds will all be grumpy,

And it fills my heart with dread,

Just thinking with all the hassle,

I just should have stayed in bed.

Amazon is much easier,

And dot com\'s of every kind.

I will let my fingers do the shopping,

If I don\'t change my mind.
