1. Behold a door in heaven open
Was revealed to John, who then
Heard voice as of trumpet sounding
Angel message did him bring
Come up hither (x3)
I will show you future things
2. Then in vision John did see clear
Throne in heaven did appear
One sat thereon like precious stones
Jasper, sardine, finest hones
Rainbow round throne (x3)
Emerald gleamings there shown
3. Round throne there twenty four seats be
Twenty four elders sat, see
Clothed in raiment clean, white and pure
They the Lord God do adore
Having gold crowns (x3)
They do worship evermore
4. From throne did proceed awesome sights
Lightnings, thunderings, affrights
And voices, seven lamps of fire
Burning before throne, ne\'er tire
Seven Spirits of God (x3)
Such as they, bright as sun\'s star
5. Before throne a sea of glass seen
Like to crystal, glorious sheen
In midst of throne and around were
Four beasts full of eyes, they stir
To praise and worship (x3)
Captured by glory\'s allure
6. Beasts like lion, calf, and eagle
One had face of man, not all
And too they each had their six wings
They full of eyes, see all things
Resting never (x3)
They worship the King of Kings
7. Holy, holy, holy, the theme
Theirs is, they do honour deem
To Him the Lord God Almighty
He was, is, is to come, He
Lives for ever (x3)
Eternal His kingdom be
8. When the beasts give glory, honour
To Him on the throne, a spur
Unto the twenty four elders
Is given, nothing deters
Them to worship (x3)
All to Him praise true renders
9. He lives for ever and ever
So they seek, they endeavour
To worship Him full worthily
Elders cast down crowns here, see
All created (x3)
For His good pleasure it be
