Accidental Poet

Queen of Right and Wrong

Queen of Right and Wrong

I know you’re out there

Lurking in the shadows

Sifting through my dirty laundry

Eager to hang me from the gallows

Almost since the day we met

You’ve thrown me under the bus

Defining our relationship

The see through love between us

Four years younger than I

We’re half sister and brother

Maternal tears in Heaven

The broken heart of our mother

Because I trusted you

I got a knife in my back

Your evil heart laughs of

The compassion you lack

You say I don’t know what love is

And by that you imply that you do?

As I pull the knife from my back

Is that what love means to you?

I see your stealthy ways

Hiding devious intent

You might fool the others

But I’m wise to real meanings you meant

You stick your nose

Where it doesn’t belong

A self-proclaimed

Queen of right and wrong

Born not from pride

These words I’ve penned for you

But from the sadness of

Your refusal to see my heart is true
