MY WIFE OF MANY YEARS

(c) 2017 Edward York.

We\'ve spent long days together,

And those have turned to years.

We\'ve shared moments of laughter,

And even shared some tears.

We have faced our days with fondness.,

And fought a similar foe.

We\'ve traveled down a rugged path,

All covered up with snow.

You have always been my anchor,

The voice I\'ve sought to hear.

The one I asked my questions,

When the answers weren\'t so clear.

You have been the voice of reason,

As other shouts are heard.

I may listen to them mumble,

But I give you the final word.

You have always answered squarely,

No need for sugar coats or lies.

I knew they all were honest,

I could read it in your eyes.
