A SHELTERED NOOK

A SHELTERED NOOK

It stood there still the lonely cottage

resolute in seasons ravage

levied there at natures will

the lonely cottage stood there still.

The wind was strong the rain beat down

and trekking from the local town

a raucous merry making throng

the rain beat down the wind was strong

A sheltered nook within the storm

inside its walls both dry and warm

they sang until the rafters shook

within the storm a sheltered nook.
