Sweet Treats in a Shop

Sweet treats in a shop,
From a bubbling cauldron,
Dipped with the sweetest lollipop.

Sweet treats in a shop,
Gum being pulled and stretched,
Shaped into perfect the perfect raindrop.

Sweet treats in a shop,
Bottles empty colorful and clean,
Waiting to be filled with pure soda pop.

Sweet treats in a shop,
Haunting our innocent tastebuds,
Waiting to get our jaws around the gumdrops.

Sweet treats in a shop,
Boiled, mixed, rolled and baked,
Stripes of red and white from the barbershop.

Sweet treats in a shop,
Gnarly fingers taking our money,
Candy being sliced, cut and chop, chop, chop.

Sweet treats in a shop,
Now begins to taste sickly sweet,
I think i see on the counter sugary sweet slop.

Sweet treats in a shop,
Where did my friends go?
A malicious smile i can see above the tabletop.

Sweet treats in a shop,
Whom knew they were our decoy,
Now nobody could hear my desperate yawp.
