The paucity of warmth is palpable,
I feel it in fingers raw and red,
and the wind to coolly cinch my neck,
and snowflakes sweetly kiss my head.
It\'s a kind winter, with high gray clouds
thousands of fathoms above-
in a sea of sky that\'s raining down
the coldest breed of crystal.
In a way, we\'ll all be rich
with wintry diamonds on chilly rings
I feel my fingers raw and red,
all the gifts that winter brings.
