hope for the people as One
Here’s one for the politicians
Who handed you their guns

Here’s one for the people forgotten
the nameless body bags of flesh
here’s one for the fallen
they’ll bury you with the rest

Here’s one for the future
a lament to all the deceased
who voted for the leaders
who murder in the name of peace

Here’s one for the soldiers
sent to free the foreign lands
one more for the innocent children
who’s blood is on their hands
