The Other
Within the deep subconscious
The Other lies in waiting
If tamed there is evolution of the mind ,
Unembraced, it manifests, hating
Of the tongue or from the pen
It expresses through freudian slips ,
A parapraxis, a desire in writing or prose
A thought subdued , an unconscious wish
The less it appears in everyday life
It’s bitterness and malevolence increase,
For what we hold back that our ego insists
Forms a hole from which springs forth a beast
Ensure that it does not take over
To project it’s dark influence on others
instead face the shadow within ourselves
and control it, so no one need suffer
embrace it as a part of ones being
integrate it into your soul
make the Other conscious,
to be enlightened, capable, whole
Everyone exists with an Other
and in one we accept as a guest
we discover the energy from which it feasts
We then insist on which it rests
Through our Other self the key to our individuality,
is access to the subconscious of our own reality
become one with The Other for artistic abilities,
Take from it powerful, creative agilities
In doing so , we become the exorcists of our innermost demons
