In Samaria an angel
Spoke to Philip, did tell
Him, go south unto desert land
Be guided by God\'s hand
So he arose, went forth and he
Man travelling did see
Ethiopian official
His carriage did not stall
For Philip to the carriage ran
And met therein the man
Who invited him come aboard
Read Scriptures of the Lord
From Isaiah, about sheep shorn
From him his judgement torn
He desired Philip to explain
And give the message plain
Then Philip his mouth did open
And proclaimed to him then
That those Scriptures of Jesus speak
To all who do Him seek
Then to water they did approach
And so with no reproach
Philip said, \'If with all your heart
You believe, whole not part\'
Receive salvation, and you may
Be baptised in this day
He believed, \'Jesus Christ He is
The Son of God\', sure this
Was his confession, so they went
To water with intent
Philip him baptised, was not long
And he went home with song
