I’d wanted to go out early today
But got lost in computer time
Minutes turned to hours
Writing and reading online
Plans put on hold
Errands will have to wait
As the seconds tick by
Ravenously my computer ate
Moving on through the day
Again the computer holds my stare
An online friend has left a note
Of how for my poetry they care
Honored and privileged am I
To have had my words read
That they take root in someone
Stimulate ideas in their head
So on the computer
My time is spent
No matter of what I do
But to good I hope it went
