Once upon a time, there was a princess who always wore a bright smile
She had long dark brown hair, and bright bright eyes
The princess was born into a happy family
Complete with a king, queen, and Prince who doubled as her knight
She was happy once
The queens brother admired her for always smiling
The king lifted her and let her shine as if she was the sun to their small kingdom
Gave her as much, if not more, worth than his crown
But that was only once upon a time
Things changed
The queen got sick and fell into habits
The king couldn\'t lift her anymore
The rulers of her kingdom begun to fall out of love
The knight forgot how to hold his sword without damaging the one he\'s protecting
The princess cut her hair and forgot how to smile
King and queen let the kingdom crumble,
The Prince dropped his sword
The princess forgot what love is
And the queen continued to live sick, and sleep most days away
The king can\'t stand his title, the title of the fallen royal family
He threw his crown away the day the queen walked out
And the queen herself, only wore hers around him for the past years
The Prince no longer welds the sword for the princess, but he still wears his crown
Even though the gems have fallen and the gold looks more bronze
The princess doesn\'t wear hers, but she keeps it
Nice and polished, on a shelf above her gown
Reminiscing on the days when she was shown the world and didn\'t shed a tear
She polishes her brothers crown, but he and everyone else beats it up more more and she does little help
Brother and sister, growing up
He protected her
From everything and everyone
Expect himself
She learned much from her Prince
Learned how to take a hit
And after the fall of their family He taught her how to forgive and love again
Mother and daughter, growing up
The queen... slept
She cared for her princess, sure
From her, she learned healing
The princess learned to take care of people
But not herself
Father and daughter, growing up
He was gone
Traveling to other kingdoms for business
He still taught his princess
To shine
But he then made her hide from the light
Her kingdom fell - her world crumbled
She started living a sheltered life
Left with the queen, visited the ruins of the kings castle
She stayed inside and wrote
She colored
Painted her walls
Kept herself busy, recreating her own kingdom
One that wouldn\'t fall
One that would make her queen
And even if her king left, she would still have her throne and her smile
But now that she has all the parts to start building she\'s scared
She\'s gotten used to the ruins
Used to walking, since her carriage has no horses
Used to the dark
What can she do when her smile comes back?
What should she- screw it
What am I supposed to do when I find someone that admires my crown again?
When he polishes it for me, and asks when ill wear it again?
What can I do now?
