Angel to shepherds did appear

For behold, I bring good tidings

People, come, on Christ call
For unto you is born this day
A Saviour for alway (x3)
In city of David, He born

This Saviour who is Christ the Lord

This be the sign, how Him you find
Take to you as remind[er]
That you shall find the babe therein
A manger, free from sin (x3)
He shall be wrapped in swaddling clothes
Humility He knows
A manger, animal food-trough
Sufficed, it was enough (x3)
Then suddenly angelic host

All praising, peace and good will
