i go about my day
dreading the smile i gave.
knowing all can see
but they all look away.
i come on home
to a family that awaits.
to turn me inside out
for the night that waits.
i close my eyes with
red inside
open my eyes
with red slits
on my side.
i go to my friends
that holds the door.
the ones who waits
for the night to come
they take me in
we go all night
till the morning light.
they put me to rest
for the next day to come.
