Insignificant

When we first met, we would stare at the moon and talk about how we are insignificant.
I didn\'t realize you meant we are insignificant.
I thought we were a speck of dust compared to the universe.
What you meant to say was \"5 years from now I won\'t remember your favorite color
or the way your eyes remind me of a rain forest\"
But why do I still know that if you could, you would paint the world maroon.
I remember the way your eyes resembled a cup of tea on a Saturday morning.
I remember the day you left, saying all I ever do is blame my problems on other people,
Already forgetting the nights you had to tell me it wasn\'t my fault.
I remember you calling me a liar, but I wasn\'t lying when I said I loved you.

When we first met, we would stare at the moon and talk about how we are insignificant.
