Until Later, But Not Goodbye

How can it be made so real so many times, yet still feel so untrue?

How can it be so easy to lean on the rest of the family, yet be so hard without you?

Your life was love, a testimony to the love of the Creator,

An inspiration to live in the name of the grace and mercy of our Savior.

It is of little comfort to know what is now your home is an infinitely better place,

But it is a great comfort to know that you passed in the Good Father’s grace.

So as you go into the next world and see Christ’s face,

May you peacefully part this world and enter His embrace

May you enter Heaven as the sun meets the horizon in the sunset’s kiss,

Though I will not deny the pain with which you I miss.

To the hearts that break when pass on the ones we call our own,

Remember that we dwell this Earth for a time, but no, it is not our home.

It is by the Name of the Lord we can enter Heaven, we can be saved,

His name on our hearts can for eternity be engraved.

The Father’s love and mercy is life without end,

Amazing grace that all injuries mend.

Those we hold dear will away from us and into Glory pass on.

The dusk of life on Earth is but everlasting life’s dawn.

I will not see just and only the pain as you go into salvation’s light;

I miss, I love, you, but have peace in knowing that on streets of gold, we will reunite.
