Freda

Freda

At ease my child for never am I truly gone.
Gone is a word filled with the sadness, sorrow and loneliness that fills our hearts in darker times.

But need not you be filled with the sadness, sorrow and loneliness of which I speak,
because in fact, my child you need not weep.

I am at peace, at rest, watching lovingly over you gladly, brimming with beaming pride

but I am not gone.

In every flower that you gaze your adoring eyes upon, in every fond memory that floods through as eyes close.

In the gentle touch of a hand
Gazing at a moonlit sea,
Sunsets on a Summer’s eve.
Every family meal across a dinner table
Celebrating a child’s first steps.

I am not gone, I am smiling with you.

Talk of me, write of me, remind the young, my memory lives on and in the hearts of little ones I am never truly gone.

Photographs are reminders but in essence I live in you, every conversation, every achievement shared, a gift given,

I am with you too.
