I remember the alley.
I felt far from home but I lied-
And said when I’m with him,
I feel home.
But the alley was different.
I remember him touching me-
And I say,
Don’t do that but he touches
Again and says
Not to worry, try to relax.
Relax when there’s a monster in front of you and
You want to scream but you can’t
Because you swear he loves you,
But he doesn’t
And maybe this will all work out soon,
But it won’t .
And you know that but you feel weak so you give in and
Give him what he wanted.
Have a shower and get some rest
Wash the dirt from your hair,
If only there was a shampoo for your thoughts and memories
So they can go down the drain with the knots you was
Supposed to deal with yesterday.
Get into your bed with your hair damp, wetting the pillow-
Is it the tears or the water from the shower
Making the pillow turn over?
