SIGNS OF THE TIMES

SIGNS OF THE TIMES

(c) 2018 Edward York

He glanced into the mirror,

But didn\'t recognize the face.

Time had caught him sleeping,

And put wrinkles every place.

He didn\'t feel any difference,

Inside he felt the same.

But, when he meets familiar people,

He doesn\'t always know their name.

He spent a lifetime working,

Each day he\'d always go.

He was the one they counted on,

To be the first to show.

Time has brought some changes,

He no longer runs the race.

The company now has a robot,

That\'s sitting in his place.
