Death arrived suddenly
On quiet paws
Glistening sharp fangs
And powerful jaws
Life is uncertain
And not guaranteed
One moment we are feeding
The next we are feed
We don’t know
How, when, or where
But one thing is sure
Death will be there
Only fools worry
About it in advance
We just ignore it
And take our chance
Living in the now
No thought of tomorrow
Without worrying if there is
More time we can borrow
And when that day
Is finally here
We welcome it
With happy cheer
It’s graduation from
Our present condition
And we are off to
Our next mission
What shape or form
That mission will be
We have no idea
But can’t wait to see
It is all good, there’s
No heaven or hell
Just more adventure
And stories to tell
