Rare we must be
To write words in this way
As all poets will gladly admit
To give of ourselves everyday
We dig deep
To our own heart’s core
Listening to our inner muse
Then finding so much more
Descriptive words
Coaxed to mingle with others
To work together
Like loving sisters and brothers
All within a poet’s heart
Passion feeding upon itself
A breeding ground gives birth
Of your poetic wealth
Of twinkling stars
You might speak fondly
Giving clue to wishes
On love so warmly
How feverishly a poet writes
Pulling words from a deep abyss
Landing upon the page
With a soft loving kiss
