Come, rebuild my Temple again
But do too consider then
How your lives, your priorities
Each to their own self foresees
And does leave Temple in ruins
Here be their greed, and their sins
But in turning, put the Lord first
So shall He then meet your thirst
For the word \'tis, \'I am with you\'
Says the Lord, my presence true
Shall help, guide you, and empower
Give you strength for each fine hour
To rebuild my dwelling, Temple
That people there on me call
Glory of latter house be more
Greater than the house* before
(*i.e. the first Temple)
The Lord He will shake all nations
All the world\'s daughters and sons
Then the desire of all shall come
Salvation for everyone
Temple shall be filled with glory
When Christ, Son of God, we see
Worthy of all honour and praise
Joyful songs we shall Him raise
They obeyed, were stirred to action
Haggai, prophet, gave each one
Message from the Lord to restore
To encourage them for sure
And too Zerubbabbel, gov\'nor
The message he did assure
With Joshua then the high priest
