Abora

for someone, someday

for someone, someday

I wish I were riding shuttles instead
of throwing shots of cinnamon fire
She’s the only one quivered in deep red
The only arrow my heart desires

She stole my heart, I broke a turnstile
The problem townies in front don’t compare
To thriving supernovas when she smiles
With journal and a stylus in her hair

I’d let her laugh kindly at me all day
If it meant I could see her eyes light up
She’s the sharpest diamond in a ring of gray
A sparkling puzzle I’d never mix up

I hope you’ll forgive null pentameter
And kiss me just once, however meagre
