With my arm around her shoulders
My skin touching her sun warmed body
Feeling the rhythmic beat of her heart
Her leg slung carelessely over mine
We sit on a rock facing the ocean
Watching the sun embracing the horizon
Melting into the distant waters
Wondering if we would see the elusive green flash
That last sign of a dying disappearing sun
A wink that tells us not to worry
She will be back again tomorrow
Pulling her closer we kiss languidly
Content with each other and the certainty
That tomorrow will be another beautiful day
