Go out to a fancy restaurant
Indulge in tea and a croissant
To some voice I\'m a confidant
One day I\'m going to die
Tonight I\'ll watch the Super Bowl
And for a moment it\'ll fill the hole
But calling from deep within my soul
One day I\'m going to die
Then one night I met a girl
Her hair was dark with light swirls
As time passed and the night unfurled
She filled all the space in my mind
One day we went on a picnic
And the scene may have been a gimmick
But I wasn\'t born a cynic
So we just had a good time
Tasting things, tarty and sweet
Two baskets full of foods to eat
On that hill I made her a treat
And the taste was sublime
Fast forward a year, we\'re happily wed
She still filled all the space in my head
So imagine my reaction as she said
I\'m coming down sick and soon I\'ll be dead
Now sitting alone in that restaurant
Growing cold in my hand flakes a croissant
And I smile as a thought suddenly dawns
Oh yeah, one day I\'m going to die
