If You Only Knew
In the far off reaches of your mind
A memory rarely thought of
A boy from Massachusetts
With you he fell hopelessly in love
He once left a letter in your school locker
A confession of love so true
Of how his heart whispers
\"Oh Sharon, how I love you\"
Now many years have past
And your many miles away
He gazes upon crimson sunset
Still thinking of you today
He contemplates your reaction
Upon learning his love still strong
So many years you\'ve owned his heart
What kind of love holds on so long?
Would you raise an eyebrow?
On your face a look of surprise
Maybe on your heart, the slightest of pull
Just a hint of emotion in your eyes
But it\'s all just wishful thinking
\"Oh Sharon, how I love you\"
And how might he react?
If you only knew
