As the sun has crossed the skies
So Sharon, have you crossed my mind
I often wonder of the “what ifs”
If all these years our lives had intertwined
What if, our lives took a different twist?
While a young girl you hadn’t moved away
And we became more acquainted
Where would we be today?
What if, you had looked into my eyes?
Would you have seen all there is to see?
That it’s your sweet smile
In the deepest part of me
What if, our destiny
Was one and the same
That true love smiled upon us
Blessed us with one last name
What if, I could find a way to reach you now?
A direct connection, heart to heart
As one love never to part
What if, the powers of heaven
That special love between you and me
