Here I stand,
Naked before the sun,
No shelter around me,
No way to keep warm,
Despite the surroundings.
Things used to be a shade darker,
A shade far more familiar.
However changes arrived too soon,
Unwarranted trauma set forth on every exterior.
So now I stand,
With no shelter to call my own,
And though I face unrelenting heat.
The cold is my only home
