I still remember those old days.
Back when I was young.
All those different ways,
we\'d used to have fun.
I still remember the games
we\'d play long into the nights.
And now so many lovely wasted flames
have burned away out of our sight.
I still remember, indeed.
The way things had once been.
Before breaking lies and awful greed
changed the things we\'d once seen.
Oh yes, I remember.
Those old, wonderful days.
But never shall I ever,
see them in their old ways.
I still do remember so many things,
but most of it’s now lost.
And as the bells of older age ring,
I wonder: was it ever worth the cost?
The young lives we gave up?
The dreams that we\'d forgot?
The places and things we\'d once so loved,
that have all now been let to rot?
I still remember those older days.
What I wouldn\'t give to live them once more.
To see old friends, and for those times to stay.
And never again have to close that door.
