Will you bring me back again.

Will you bring me back again,
to this wondrous place of timeless intervention,
will you walk with me once more
through our lush green pastures of embroidered peace,
will we cross the stepping stones
that take us over laughing waters of completion,
will you wander by my side
as the murmurings of twilight slowly cease.

Will the evening beckon us
with a subtle sense of soft anticipation,
will it’s silken shades of grey
hide us from the hustle bustle of the night,
will its breathing  intermingle
with each moment of our quiet conversation,
will your hand be in my hand
as we greet the moon and bathe beneath its light.

Will your eyes seek mine once more
will our shivering whispers hold us close together,
as the clouds draw back like curtains
so we can count the endless stars of jewelled rain,
and will the waters of the brook
mirror both our hearts and images forever,
for whatever life still holds
there is a certainty that we’ll come back again...
