Alone

I sat on my bed, an all mighty king

The light gazed on me and my rightful throne.

My younger mind would rejoice, laugh and sing

I was happy in that fantasy alone.

As I aged, my fantasy world lessened.

All around me, people mocked and moaned.

In their eyes I was a mere peasant.

Outcasted in the shadows, all alone.

But even to this day, the pain yet ends.

The halls echo my footsteps empty tone.

My world collapses, its wounds fail to mend.

Reality stabs me, it screams \"you\'re alone!\"

I lay on my bed, against my throne.

I accept my fate, broken and alone.
