Upon the plains
My mind starts to twist and spin
Arms stretched to embrace a dancing star
Eyes closed
My lungs fill with the dampness of the wind
The silence of the inner storm
Begins to echo from within
Charging into the tempest of my mind\'s inner eye
Upon the back of a black unicorn
A soul consumed of rage doth ride
A tear in the heart of the storm
Piercing my very soul
Cast upon the inevitable mortal horn
The beat of my heart begins to slow
Within the flesh that is now torn
I met an angel upon the altar of my past
Eyes made of two pools of the most beautiful blue
As I lay
He reached to catch the tear falling from my cheek
How do I heal?
My voice breaking as I began to ask
In death\'s silence
He said the answer has always been inside of you
Within the light of your inner most thoughts
Are the answers you so desperately seek
Upon my heart he placed his hand
Renewed life within my body began
It is with the memories of a son\'s love
That fills this angel\'s wings
And calms the storm both within and above
Always smile when you think of me
Celebrate my life
For this isn\'t the end
Build a bridge of happy memories
That will span the Heavens
Tomorrow will soon be gone
And we will be together again
I awoke under the tail of a misty rainbow
The rays of my father\'s love shown down upon me
I reached to the past
And found so many sweet memories to sow
I\'ll meet you, dad...at Heaven\'s gate
For I begun the bridge to thee
