“Crucify Him!”
That was all they could say,
Revenge was all they could see,
Revenge for what?
Their priests could find no guilt,
Pilate could find no guilt
And in washing his hands
Removed his responsibility
As he told the gathered crowd,
“The responsibility is yours”.
And still the cry went out,
“Crucify Him!”
