Last Call
Trials and tribulations
Of reaching teenage years
Suddenly your freedom
The source of many tears
So you know it all
No need for school
And you want it all
Live by your own rules
Beer, your new found friend
Getting drunk is your right
And who cares if
You end up in a fight
Bars are there for a reason
To spend your paycheck
Only to end up behind bars
Then you’ll say, “What the heck?”
Now it’s Saturday night
And you need a drink
Last call for alcohol
Better get two you think
Come to think of it
Buy another round
Drinks are on you because you’re
Everyone’s best friend in town
Why the dependence
Upon so frequent alcohol
Someday you’ll find your life
Waking up to its last call
Alcohol is not your enemy
But it’s also not your friend
Better get control of it
Before it does you in
If you’re smart you’ll wake up
Walking through a sober door
It’s just not the same
As it was before
