John 21 v.20-24

Peter saw other disciple
Following Jesus, His call
He had heard too, and at supper
He did with the Lord confer
He did ask, \'Who does betray you?\'
As the tension mounting grew
He had lent on Jesus\' breast
And too had His name confessed
Peter said, \'What shall this man do?\'
When you bid me follow you
Jesus said, If he should stay till
I return, so be God\'s will\'
Then the disciples the rumour
Among them they did concur
That the disciple should not die
They did not doubt or deny
Yet Jesus did not to him say
\'You shall not die if my way
You do follow\', but He did say
Words to assure on that day
Fro He said, \'If he should stay till
I return, so be God\'s will\'
This disciple \'tis John, he be
