Escape

You found me fleeing this Life

In the perfect forest of my imagination.

You raised me from this Land

With hopeful promises,

You danced with me on the foliage floor,

You helped me hear and see;

I breathed fresh air.

It awakened me.

I opened my eyes and I was alone again.

But the Beauty of my solitude was no more.

The trees, the sun, the warmth and cold of the pictures in my mind,

A haze

Without you.

Careless dreamer!

Naive believer!

Cruel hope that dreams can be woven

Into the fabric of life.

I search.
I run.
In circles.

Now I hear the empty fullness of my mind.

There is a path where I could

 Escape this.

It leads to a river.

It calls to me.

To cleanse me of my sins,

And take me away from the

 Busy non existence of my

  Everything.

I will stand looking at this path for eternity.

Because behind me

I imagine you,

With your gift of hope,

And I want to believe

It was real.
