Evelyn Rose, the Girl who said,
I think that I am better off dead,
Her words so strong, her soul so lost,
Shed rid her pain at any cost.
The darkness was falling,
She sat in her chair,
Playing with Barbies,
Brushing their hair.
Every few seconds,
Her hands on her ears,
To drown out the noise,
She\'d dealt with for years.
The screams and the banging,
Were to loud for her brain,
She pounded on the door,
It drove her insane.
I need to get out,
Of this place of doom,
But she needed to firstly,
Get out of her room.
She scratched and she clawed,
The walls and the floor,
She threw her table at the window,
And kicked at the door.
Nothing would open,
Then she knew what to do,
She sat and she focused,
Come back, I need you.
Her friend from the past,
She had to bring back,
He knew what to do,
I had to see Jack.
He left as they made him,
Those ladies were vile,
He was the only human,
To make Evelyn smile.
She focused and focused,
A tear slipped from her eye,
Please Jack I need you,
She starts to cry.
She hears the familiar voice,
She turns to her bed,
His bright blue hair,
Swept over his head.
She runs and she cuddles,
Her only best friend,
But she needs to escape,
She can\'t lose him again.
In one big kick,
He breaks down the door,
She laughs as they run,
To the lift and first floor.
The lights are flickering,
Her adrenaline pumping,
Her mind is racing,
Her heart is thumping.
Goodbye you evil place,
And blows out a candle,
She gets to the main door,
And pulls on the handle.
The outside is lovely,
So fresh and so sweet,
She dances and sings,
With the grass on her feet.
She looks out for Jack,
She screams out his name,
She searches all around,
He\'s playing a game.
She searches the bushes,
She looks round the back,
But no sign of her friend,
Then her mind starts to crack.
What\'s happening to me,
She falls into a sleep,
She wakes with those lights,
And that familiar beep.
She screeches in panic,
Please no, not again,
She feels oh so dizzy,
Still no sign of her friend.
Ok dear Evelyn,
Your back safe and sound,
No she screams out,
I managed to get out.
No they all sighed,
You\'ve always been here,
You took to many pills,
But your safe now my dear.
She thought she was free,
She felt the earth in her toes,
But instead back in the asylum,
Poor Evelyn Rose
