I was there when you woke to unbearable pain not knowing if you’d ever see the others again

I was there when the panic ensued and the fear set deep

I loved you when you blamed me and I never did leave

I was there through the physical healing and all of the pain

But I know that your heart was never the same

I can release you from your prison inside

even though you hate me if you would let me I’ll provide
