since i am always late
to whatever appointment i make
i always speed on my way to work
and sometimes in traffic
there are drivers more frantic
with speed limits to shirk
today there was a girl
who drove in a whirl
and showed me how it was done
she was tailgating so close
i could see up her nose
an awful, annoying jerk!
what an asshole, i cried
as i sped up to chide
her attempt to outrun
i was doing about eighty
and my memory might be hazy
but she might have been going above
she flipped me the bird
as she passed without a word
and that’s when i fell in love
