STORMY WATERS

(c) 2018 Edward York

We were all on board as we set sail,

All crowded on the deck.

Looking back I still can\'t think,

What may have caused the wreck.

The water was a little rough,

But no more than in the past.

The bow just pushed its way ahead,

Perhaps a bit too fast.

The saltwater spray, gave us a bath,

The sky was dark and gray.

The lighthouse in the distance,

Could barely show the way.

Eventually the storm did pass,

The clouds faded away.

The sunshine filled up the sky,

And the seagull came to play.

Relationships are much the same,

When our nerves begin to fray.

If we can just weather the storm,

It will finally go away.
