Syd

Child Of Change

Soft flower petals paved her way
On the run from the CIA
In a world of work she stood for play...

Unfiltered thoughts poured from her head

Natural hair and a flowing dress
Her touch alone could alter consciousness
Some would say she\'s cursed, others blessed...

The topic of many vicious words said

If there was a disease she was the cure
The vibrant life to waters pure
The tranquil light of skies azure...

But still...the storm clouds gathered overhead

The seed bearers were keen
To the old she was a rupture to the spleen
\"Wash your hands! You don\'t know where she\'s been!\"...

A poison feared like lead

The stubborn stood in the way
All for work, no time for play
\"This has to end!\" They would say...

A child so innocent....Wanted dead

Feared like a witch that had cast a spell
Tied & bound and threw down the well
She suffered on earth, like it was Hell...

Such a fitting end in a world of hatred

The locals thought that was the end
But from the grave a message she did send
Colours & laughter, time seemed to bend...

From self inflicted wounds they all bled

A traveller stumbled upon the slaughter
Whole families, parents, sons & daughters
Investigators tested the water...

The litmus paper...it turned red
