and respect
because they know I\'m the Manager
the boss
with a separate office
and different work
they know I don\'t dress
the way most of the staff do
often tell me I look more like a Doctor
but they know too
that they can talk to me
chew my ear if they want to
that I\'ll try to find them a spare minute
out of my day
it\'s a funny job
hard-man one minute
uncompromising while I lay down the law
state what I will and won\'t tolerate
outline the consequences
hide any doubts I might feel
then next thing
telling a joke
laughing
showing that I have an idea or two
about where they\'re at
and why they want to rampage
about their anger and frustration
their distress
they can call me Franky if they want to
I guess
I can live with that
no worries
