A star out of reach

I have awoke into a world, that of graceful eden.

I know I am not alone, the surrounding trees I hear breathing.

The butterflies flutter by, the birds begin to sing.

I close my eyes with you in mind, our love pure, that of water from a natural spring.

Upon the mountain peek the wolf’s howl travels in the wind,

overseeing the twilight creek with a flowing river in between the distant trees.

The full moon shines brightly, in the clear sky.

It reminds me of your smile, the way you deal with daily life.

Your spirit isn’t imprisoned or phased when poisoned darkness lies.

You simply can not teach one how to improvise a tide,

when dreams drift afar with you left capsized, feeling emptiness inside.

My arrow marginally missed the target, our paths had intertwined.

Although I never had much time,

you opened up my eyes to ways I have been detached, almost blind.

It’s almost like a riddle, a ripple in the pond.

It is difficult to envision a world so far beyond.

I feel buoyant knowing one day, I will reach your star.

Until your star I reach, you will forever have my heart.
