But will come the day of the Lord
Shall be as says in His word
As a thief in the night, sudden
Shall come to all women, men
Then things of the old shall vanish
Enemies He shall banish
Then the heavens shall pass away
With great noise, none can allay
And elements melt, fervent heat
Weeds separated from wheat
The earth also and works therein
Shall be burned up, gone be sin
Seeing these things shall be dissolved
What to do, what you resolved?
But to live in holy way still
Godliness, turn from ill-will
Looking for the day of the Lord
It shall come to pass, His word
For too the heavens they shall pass
Be on fire, prophecies tell
Gone shall be the old for ever
Yet our hope none can sever
For according to His promise
There be new things of true bliss
For we look for new heavens, earth
Where all worship, give Him worth
Wherein dwells righteousness true, sure
The Lord is King evermore
So let us be diligent, seek
His kingdom of humble, meek
Live, so that you of Him be found
In peace, and praises resound
Without spot and blameless, holy
Acceptable to Him be
And account His longsuffering
Is salvation, to Him sing
