Lost in a land of fairytales,
I look down at the red strand attached to my thumb.
A game of Tug-O-War it is,
As we pull each other in for a kiss.
Lost in a land of fairytales,
You and I stand.
Beds of roses in glass,
I reach out for your hand.
Lost in a land of fairytales,
I gleam at the happily ever after.
Your hand is limp,
Your breath is suddenly softer.
Lost in a land of fairytales,
I wanted to be your knight.
I realize now, the poisoned apple had already won,
As our story becomes less bright.
