Certain summers
I can remember
We spent swimming in the sea.
The Ocean waves
Rolling and breaking
On my little girls and me
We wore funny hats
And silly glasses
For blocking out the sun
We never had much money
But we always
Had lots of fun
In the evenings
On the boardwalk
Ride the rides and play the games
Well the girls are
All grown now
But the memories remain
Now when I taste
Saltwater taffy
They come rushing back again
Certain summers
I can remember
I wish they never had to end
