Hourglass overturned...

Hourglass overturned…

Grains of sand between your fingers

Hours in midnight oil burned

Thoughts in vernal meadows linger…

Indecisions and confusion in your head

Nightmares and cares cast aside

Failed hopes in burning dreams unsaid

Hopes and fears fast denied

Hazy eyes in ghostlike faces

Blind moments lost in tears

Fates unite in confused traces

Painful trials — cost of foolish fears

Tired eyes in moments linger

Dreams descend in snowflake wrapping

Memories melt between your fingers

Soul ascends in daybreak flapping

Your fingers wrap around the glass

New moods awaken yesterday’s worries…

Shadowy minds unwind in the past

New dreams forsaken in today’s glories

Rose-gray dawn greets tired eyes

Lonely nights spent in dull wonder

Darkness melts in morning skies

And nothing… nothing more to ponder

You win… I lose…

Your soul grows wings

I win… you choose…

Your cheek now stings

My dreams… your fears…

Unsteady hands balance fairy castle

Painful thoughts… face numb from tears

Send your wish enclosed in a capsule

You know, they don’t see angels

Even those gray winged men in chicken coops

Yet dreams descend on the wings of an angel

And fade like snow cotton in scoops

Too many doubts and strange misconceptions

Foolish moths strike at the flame once more

Too many faults and even more corrections

No one to blame except yourself… ignore…

The wind blows and smoke descends

You send your dream into the sky

Vernal winter with cherry blossoms blends

Bend paper corners of your plane and let it fly

I chose… not long ago

You lock your dreams till they break loose

I made your choice… it’s time to go

Blue moonbeams fall light as chocolate mousse

Your sky balloon soon disappears

I guess the time has come

Perhaps it will return after many years

Don’t know when or who I will become

Doesn’t matter now…

Pain is gone and I can breathe…

Leave the stage and take your bow

Perhaps there is still hope beneath…

Your wing…
