CHALLENGES

(c) 2018 Edward York

As slumber dies and I awake,

My memories are still asleep.

So I start out with just a few,

The ones that aren\'t too deep.

Each day starts much like the rest,

We don\'t know what it will yield.

With challenges still unresolved,

And some not yet revealed.

Situations call you to keep your head,

Not buried in the sand.

Decisions have to be made sometimes,

And you must take a stand.

It is often like the tiny flame,

That just attracts our gaze.

If it is left without control,

It can turn into a blaze.
